StoneGate Arts and Education Center

The StoneGate Arts and Education Center holds a prominent corner location on Bedford's Courthouse Square. The three-story building serves Lawrence County as a learning center, supporting the teaching missions of a consortium of community colleges as well as supporting the goals of numerous arts organizations in the County. State-of-the-art classrooms, workshops, studios, a black box theater, administrative offices, café, and support spaces combine to make the StoneGate Center a vital resource for Lawrence County. The building's limestone exterior is quarried and cut from local stone giving homage to the stone industry which has been the backbone of Lawrence County for over one hundred and fifty years.
